Having had a zillion conversations with you about exactly this, I've also arrived at the same conclusion: We just have to enjoy the present moment. And the next present moment. And the one after that.
I'm currently in Barcelona and I love it here. I would definitely live in Barcelona. My daughter and I just spent 3+ weeks in France. We spent a week in Paris (it's my 7th visit) and we explored Western France. I think we would live in Paris too. My daughter enjoyed her time there. She did a week of summer camp and she misses her teachers already. She's been talking about them everyday.
It sounds like you & your daughter are having a wonderful time! 🥰 Barcelona is very high on my list of places to live. I can see the appeal of Paris as well. (I speak Spanish but not French so that would be an adjustment, however!) Thank you for sharing
